Also, it would be ideal if you were an international student passing through San Francisco. I am not looking at a permanent roommate as 6 or 7 months would be very long of a share. Previously, I have shared a much smaller space four 81 days, and all was fine; this person, which shared my space, was a relatively new person I met, but we clicked and got along well.

You get a closet, futon, and relative privacy and decent space. You should be ok sharing the living room on occasion at short periods of time or by arrangement. Ultimately, you would be friendly enough and be mutually flexible with a really nice, understanding, cool guy (me).

I believe communication is the key with short term apartment sharing, and meeting or chatting will make sure both parties are satisfied with the share. making assumptions and reading between the lines works sometimes, but I prefer real conversation even if it starts with text or handy message. its the only way you will have a clue about the other person.
