| Volunteer Team Leader needed to work with a group of 5 to 8 adults in a preschool classroom. Jumpstart, a national non-profit, is looking for motivated, caring, energetic volunteers to lead teams of preschool mentors. Team leaders would receive extensive training, and there are possibilities for advancement within the company. Community Corps, an innovative pilot program in San Francisco, pairs diverse adults of all ages, ethnic and economic backgrounds with at-risk preschoolers. You would be responsible for implementing Jumpstart lesson plans, coaching team members, and collaborating with preschool teachers. There is room for creativity, and team leaders are encouraged to create interesting activities for the children and volunteers. You are asked to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week (4 hours of classroom time and 6 hours of preparation and team meeting time). Classroom hours can be counted toward teaching practicum time if you are interested in early education careers. A variety of locations and schedules are available. Ad provided by Idealist.org |
