Position: Cleantech Blogger

Matter Network, a healthy, growing startup based in San Francisco, is poised to become the media hub of the sustainability revolution.

Toward that goal, Matter is seeking THREE energetic, talented, web-savvy bloggers with sustainability expertise. Specifically, Matter is recruiting a Cleantech Business Blogger, a Sustainable Building and Transportation Blogger, and an Energy and Environment Blogger.

Each position will involve writing two or three short (approx. 200-word) submissions and one longer (400- to 600-word; multi-sourced) blog post per day. In addition, writers will have the opportunity to pitch and write accepted features of 800-1,000 words.

Bloggers will be expected to adhere scrupulously to Matter's tagging and internal linking requirements, as well as oversee the image editing process for their own stories.

QUALITIES:
Matter bloggers should be:

- Voracious readers of newspapers, magazines and internet sites that focus on topics related to the sustainability revolution
- Fast, professional writers with solid spelling, grammar, punctuation, skills
- Able to infuse posts with personality, humor, attitude…
- Attracted to the challenge of blogging and cognizant of the stamina required to build a strong following
- Skilled at scouring the web to uncover obscure news leads
- Ultra savvy about the Internet and computers, preferably to include a solid understanding of social networks
- Experienced with HTML, RSS, graphics programs and search engine technology
- Self-starting team players

Bloggers will work from home, flexible hours. Good base compensation, based on experience, PLUS the opportunity to earn $300 per accepted feature.
