Global Account Manager : Telecom, Satellite Services
Our client, a leading international telecommunications carrier focused on the APAC market, is seeking a Global Account Manager for its Satellite Services offerings.
The positions can be located in one of the following locations:
Northern VA/ maryland
San Francisco Bay region
Los Angeles/ Orange County region
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in sales with excellent Business contacts. This role will focus primarily on direct selling, with some responsibility to work with partners to close deals. The primary responsibilities of this position
will be divided as follows:
? Responsible for networking with partners and industry contacts to identify leads and build awareness of our clients service offerings.
? Responsible for building and executing against a pipeline of new leads. Prospecting and networking to develop the leads, setting appointments, and closing deals.
? Responsible for management reporting, administration, and some account management of existing customers.
? Minimum four year college degree or equivalent
? 5:7plus years sales experience with proven track record of making or exceeding quota.
? Comfortable and experienced selling or working with technology such as IP networks, information security services or related IT infrastructure products or services.
? Experience selling at a major Satellite Services provider or major Telecommunications services firm strongly preferred.
? Experience selling at a major telecommunications service provider essential.
? Solution sales experience, based on needs assessment and relationship building.
? Software sales or experience in selling into new markets.
? Strong presentation skills
? Strong MS Office skills
? Experience using SFA tools, SalesForce and Remedy a plus.
? Self Starter with demonstrated ability to build a sales organization,
? Experience defining business processes, and implement tracking tools in a start up environment a plus.
? Ability to close small and large deals, selling on the value of the product, overcoming
objections, and providing necessary ROI analysis.
? Good written and oral communication skills.
? Some travel is required
