Job Description:
Our client is looking for an Application Systems Engineer responsible for implementing business solutions to middleware systems. As a Systems Engineer you will work with the team towards building/developing new business services using latest technologies. You will participate in analysis/design of the web services, development and unit testing of web services, supporting QA groups and clients during the testing phase and supporting production implementation of the services. You will also be called upon to document design and best practices as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ideal if you have exposure to at least some of these technical languages/products: OOD, Java and J2EE (POJOs and Servlets), Websphere 4.1 or higher/Tomcat, SOAP Stack (Apache Axis or Systinet), XSD, XML, XSLT, WSDLs, SQL and JDBC (Informix and DB2), Eclipse, JUnit, Ant, Clearcase, JProbe.
Must possess technical understanding of developing Enterprise Web Services specific applications in a Windows environment, deploy on HP-Unix;
Some back ground in production support and management of problems and resolving issues is desired.
Proficiency in writing code, comments, and unit testing.
Experience with distributed systems (HTTP, SSL, Networking, Muli-tier environment) and experience with host data access protocols (e.g., MQ, DB2 connect) is desired.
