We are actively seeking MySQL DBA for our client, a well funded startup in San Francisco, CA

job Description
- Development and Production support for MySQL databases
- Responsible for database backups and recovery
- Perform installation, upgrades and patching of MySQL databases
- Support required application maintenance windows
- Performance tuning of the MySQL database
- Work with Engineering management to create development and support strategies for database systems
Required Skills
- 5+ years of MySQL DBA experience in a Linux environment with an enterprise application
- Demonstrate knowledge of database systems, data structures and database design concepts.
- SQL expertise including writing MySQL stored procedures
- Strong knowledge of MySQL best practices
- Experience with MySQL replication and high availability
- Experience with Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS etc..)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer Science or equivalent
