Description
Employer: FINE Design Group
Position: Project Director
We are looking for the right person to help the San Francisco or Portland office of our west coast web, design, and branding firm manage a portion of our ever-increasing project list. You will be responsible for ensuring and guiding a superlative project outcome, and a super-happy client, primarily for website design and development engagements.
The requirements are simple: experience with web production/rollouts, demonstrated passion for design, and demonstrated excellence in managing projects. And a great, positive attitude along the way.
You should have at least a couple years experience managing the production and rollout of websites, either on the client or agency side. The more (and more complex) the better. You should care about, and know about, technology. Web is not all we do, and you don't have to be a coder, but much of what we do involves knowing what's up on the web and how it got there. If you read the letters ftp, http, jsp, and html and you're thinking we left out some vowels, or you think Flash refers to the misdemeanor, or if you think a server works in restaurants, you're probably not right for this gig.
That said, you should also get very excited about the web as a design and branding tool, and display a sense for excellence in this regard, such as a sampling of projects you've worked on that just plain look cool.
You're always making to-do lists for people (including yourself) tracking progress and milestones and schedules, thinking 3 steps ahead on a project that only has 2 steps, you can use all the usual office software suspects, and you've usually got a few and schedules, thinking 3 steps ahead on a project that only has 2 steps, you can use all the usual office software suspects, and you've usually got a few IM windows going anytime you're on a conference call. Plus, you're that rare combination of a go-getter who's also really nice. And you have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent).
We do some world-class work in a pretty fun, familial environment. So if all this sounds good to you, write us a little note to tell us what you've done and how much you're looking to get paid to do more of it, and please attach a recent resume.
We won't be able to reply to all submissions, so thanks in advance.
