Senior Blackberry Engineer – San Francisco

Project location: San Francisco, Minneapolis, or Des Moines (in order of preference)



Position Type: Contract - 9+months - high possibility of extension OR potential conversion to FTE.

Position: Senior Blackberry Engineer

The ideal candidate will have had experience with Blackberry, Exchange, Windows Mobile and Omniva.



Requirements:

At least 3 years experience in building and supporting a scalable, mission critical Blackberry environment

Experience with large Blackberry migrations and upgrades (In an Exchange environment)

Experience deploying and managing 3rd party applications via the Blackberry Enterprise Server and/or a Windows Mobile environment Experience with Windows Mobile design, engineering, and roll out in a large-scale environment

Exceptional communication and documentation skills

Ability to lead projects that impact the entire Enterprise

Our client is searching for a senior messaging engineer to join the Enterprise Messaging & Collaboration - Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the Blackberry Enterprise Solution as well as knowledge of Microsoft server solutions, including Exchange.



Windows Mobile engineering and support experience is a significant plus.



Candidate should have experience working in a large corporate environment ( >10,000 users) where the team member must follow corporate policies regarding security, audit, and change control processes. The candidate will frequently act as a project lead, and provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff.



The engineering team is responsible for designing, testing, documenting and maintaining a complex environment. Knowing how to integrate third-party software into a large-scale production environment is a must.



This is NOT a production/administration position, this is a senior engineer position. Candidate must have solid engineering experience, be able to work independently, and must be able to handle all aspects of Blackberry engineering projects, from inception to implementation.
