We are looking for an individual with a passion for web technologies, social media, and coursework in computer science to focus on front-end application development & design in an on-going internship.

The intern's responsibilities will include conceiving, scoping, and developing distributed applications including widgets, games, embedded apps, and badges that Trulia will offer for our millions of users to install on their own websites, profile pages, and blogs. We are looking for a creative, motivated self-starter who can work with minimal amounts of supervision. An active interest in viral marketing and social web technologies is critical. Since we are fast growing and successful startup, this role is ideal for an entry-level developer looking to build their career and expertise by writing code while being integrated with our industry leading development team. Success in this role could transition into additional responsibilities in areas that match your technical interests and skills.

We're very comfortable scheduling your time around your school obligations. We're also happy to work with you and your school to apply your work towards class credit, if offered by your program.

Requirements:

* Interest in designing Rich Internet Applications
* Ability to combine various data sets through API/RSS/XML
* Experience with HTML, DHTML, XHTML & CSS
* Experience creating distributed applications, widgets, and mash-ups
* Experience with LAMP technologies (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP), JavaScript & AJAX
* Ability to generate ideas and execute them with minimal supervision
* Excellent follow-through and follow-up to iterate on products for continuous improvement
* Passion for new web technologies and online communities (eg, social networks, e-commerce sites, blogs, Web 2.0)
* Enthusiasm for exciting challenges and having fun!


Nice to have:

* Experience using the Facebook Development Platform
* Familiarity with developing Flash applications
* Experience writing JAVA applets
* Experience with the Google Maps API
