| STERN GROVE FESTIVAL'S SUNDAY CONCERTS The Stern Grove Festival is a unique performing arts series in a natural amphitheater surrounded by giant eucalyptus, redwood, and fir trees. Every Sunday, from June 15th to August 17th, the Festival features an array of free performances, from Opera and Ballet to Latin, R&B and Jazz, not to mention music from around the world. The amazing variety of the music performances is matched by a wide range of volunteer opportunities. In addition to the need for ushers, information booth staffers, donation collectors, and hospitality personnel, an expanded education and outreach program calls for youth event facilitators and pre-concert events set-up. Please also consider staying after the show to help staff and volunteers break down. This is often overlooked but greatly appreciated and fulfills a great need. In appreciation for their time and effort, volunteers enjoy reserved seating during the performances and complimentary beverages and snacks. Come participate in our 71st season of world class, free-admission concerts in San Francisco! KIDS' DAYS We also have opportunities at our Kid's Days. Kid's Days are 4 hour volunteer events that provide a great opportunity to help kids explore music while you get to experience great performances and opportunities yourself! Volunteer shifts are scheduled from 10-2 (4 hours): Set up 10-11. The event runs from 11-1:30. Breakdown 1:30-2. If you cannot make the entire shift, contact us anyway and we'll coordinate a schedule that works best for you! Please view the schedule below: June 24th, 25th, 26th, 10am - 2pm, San Francisco Taiko Dojo This program, in partnership with Young Audiences, will teach participants the basics of Taiko art and practice. Location: Stern Grove, 19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard, San Francisco July 15, 16, 17, 10am - 2pm, Dance Day - San Francisco Ballet's Center for Dance Education - Cheryl Burke Dance Children will learntwo styles of dance. Location: Stern Grove, 19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard, San Francisco August 5, 6, 7, 10am - 2pm, Halau 'o Keikiali'i This local favorite returns to teach Hawaiian dance in partnership with Young Audiences.
