We are looking for caring, adult preschool mentors who want to change a young child’s life. You would be part of an exciting new program called Community Corps, which pairs adults of all ages and backgrounds with at-risk preschoolers in the classroom. During the school year, Corps Members commit a 6 hours a week (4 in the classroom and 2 in team planning and reflection). Jumpstart volunteer hours count toward your teaching practicum hours. Jumpstart provides support for those interested in becoming preschool teachers through its future teacher initiative. Various locations and schedules are available in San Francisco preschools.
