We are assisting our client, a well respected property/casualty writer, to find a WC Claims AVP/Director in northern CA.
This individual will play a very significant role having responsibility for the
management of staff (3 direct, 30+ indirect) and the execution of all workers comp claims policy and procedures for the company.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of workers comp claims experience with at least 5 years in a management role (managing managers/supervisors) at an INSURANCE CARRIER. Multi: jurisdictional experience is a plus. Degree and professional designation preferred.
Must have proven experience building teams, developing employees and proactively managing employee performance. Also must be capable of creating and implementing a yearly department business plan. Proficient
computer skills including MS Office programs. There will be some overnight travel required.
Our client offers a competitive compensation/benefits package. This position is eligible for a significant bonus. NO relocation offered.
